Executive Master in Finance - Brazil

Created in 1976, the Sorbonne Business School Master of Finance is a career accelerator aimed at :

• professionals in the financial sector to enable them to update and strengthen their knowledge 
• confirmed non-financial executives who wish to orient their career towards the finance function of the company or in the financial industry.

This diploma is rooted in practice and provides insights into the most recent academic research, in connection with the work of the Sorbonne Business School research laboratory. This mix of theories and practices is based on an interactive pedagogy giving way to feedback from students. The case method allows students to confront the decisions and dilemmas that financial managers face on a daily basis. Teamwork is strongly encouraged in most courses, from oral presentations to case studies.

Since November 2019, the program has been relocated to Brazil in English to meet the financial training needs of professionals in Latin America.

Graduates are awarded the Master Finance in Financial Management course delivered by the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. This program has trained more than 1,000 business executives since its creation in 1976.

The objective is to train professionals capable of responding to the challenges of the future thanks to the expertise of our teacher-researchers gathered in the research laboratory of IAE Paris - Sorbonne. The Master in Finance is backed by the Management and Governance of Financial Cooperatives (MGCF) and Alternative Financing in the Agricultural Sector (FINAGRI) Chairs at IAE Paris-Sorbonne. These Chairs include around thirty multidisciplinary researchers, in France and abroad, and work on financial issues with partner companies.

Each class has about fifteen students who take advantage of face-to-face courses and an online sharing platform to exchange teaching documents and assignments.

Pedagogy

Participatory teaching is preferred.

All teaching takes place in small groups to facilitate interactivity. The experience of each student in his area of ​​specialty is sought to advance the group.

The basic principle is that of the case method. The face-to-face courses are devoted to putting concepts and tools into perspective, in-depth studies, and practical cases. All educational documents and group work are exchanged using an online sharing platform.
