The Sorbonne Business School, a great story. And soon yours.
The Sorbonne Business School, a great story thanks to its membership of the Sorbonne, an emblematic symbol of French university education, known and recognized the world over. We share this commitment to excellence and influence, both in France and internationally. Beyond this prestigious heritage, the Sorbonne has also, decade after decade, established its own history.
It all began in 1956, in the mind of Gaston BERGER, Director of Higher Education at the French Ministry of Education, and Professor Robert GOETZ, who imagined the Sorbonne Business School, an unprecedented establishment model founded on a unique training program: the Certificat d'Aptitude à l'Administration des Entreprises, a dual-skill management training program. Today, the variety of student profiles (engineers, lawyers, literary or scientific) is still the singularity, strength and uniqueness of our school.
Sorbonne Business School unique position within the French management education network has only grown stronger since then.
We are thus part of two major entities in terms of public management training:
- the IAE France network along with some thirty university business schools throughout France,
- Sorbonne Management, the association of the two management divisions of the prestigious Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University: the Sorbonne Management School and our IAE.
This is also reflected in the demanding quality of our teaching, as demonstrated by our internationally-recognized Sorbonne degrees, as well as our labels, certifications and rankings: the qualicert "Formation Recherche" service certification issued by SGS, our Executive courses referenced Qualiopi, our programs ranked within Eduniversal. Beyond excellence, we believe that success also depends on the well-being of each student, which is why we are proud to hold the HappyAtSchool label based on student evaluations, which aims to promote schools where it's good to study.
At the crossroads of the knowledge developing within the scientific world, the practices developed in organizations and societal concerns, we welcome executives and managers who wish to train in modern, responsible and committed management turned towards research and progress.
Over the years, our training offer has been able to diversify, enrich and, above all, adapt to changing professions, corporate needs and the societal challenges we face. Beyond general management, the Sorbonne Business School goes further by opening up to other more specialized fields: Control-Audit, Data Science, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management of associations, Health Management, International Management, Marketing, QSE, Human Resources and CSR, Supply Chain Management, etc.
Joining Sorbonne Business School means joining a humane management school that promotes equal opportunity with determination. We have chosen to integrate CSR at the heart of our teams and our training programs so that you are ready to be actors of change for tomorrow. We are also attentive to your personal development and well-being, because your personal and professional success depends on it. To meet these challenges, we are introducing specific support and awareness-raising initiatives: occupational stress prevention in 2021, webinars on the subjects of diversity and inclusion in 2022 or the SPACE scheme to prevent discrimination, sexist and sexual violence and harassment since spring 2023.
Our doors are open to everyone, whether you're a young French or foreign student with a willingness to learn, or an executive with a desire for new challenges.
