Our mission: to provide the keys to self-fulfilment
The Sorbonne Business School offers a chance for professional integration and advancement thanks to strong pedagogical convictions that facilitate the adaptability of its students on the job market throughout their lives. This adaptability, nurtured by our close collaboration with the professional world, is deployed in particular by taking into account the current challenges facing companies, the emergence of new professions and the expressed need for new skills.
Every year, we help write the story of our 2,800 or so students in France and abroad, and change the course of their careers. According to the latest surveys carried out on our 2022 graduates, almost 90% of our apprentices and master's students are in work, 2/3 of our continuing education students have moved on in their functions in their company or elsewhere, and 15% of them have undergone a professional reconversion, within six months of graduating.
Our training courses are thus founded on a pedagogical approach in tune with the challenges of the professional world, giving priority to fundamentals, based on cross-disciplinary teaching enabling students to acquire a global vision of management, and nourished by research. To this end, we apply an inductive method. This brings together the best of both worlds - academic expertise with teacher-researchers and professional expertise with specialized speakers. Here, our students study real-life corporate situations to grasp and understand both concepts and real-world situations.
The Sorbonne Business School has always been committed to accompanying organizations in their evolutions and transformations, through training and the production of applied management research. We are still seeking to strengthen this proximity to the professional world, with the resolution of being a partner of reference: beyond our diploma training offer, we wish to develop a dedicated subsidiary aiming to deploy our accompaniment with companies through consulting and research services and short certifying training courses.
From these strong links with companies stems our specificity, which is based on the place held by our Executive programs. One figure expresses this particular positioning: three quarters of our students are professionals following a part-time continuing education program (MBA, specialized master's or university degree).
The Sorbonne Business School ambition is thus to give everyone the means to realize their potential, to enter the workforce, to evolve, to retrain, but also to be entrepreneurial. With our Executive MBA Entrepreneurship, our Executive MBA MAE offering a dedicated specialization, or our Entrepreneurial Territory Innovation Chair, we are demonstrating our commitment to entrepreneurship, a career choice shared by more and more students in initial training or continuing education. Our subsidiary project also aims to encourage entrepreneurship more widely.
As a generalist management school, the Sorbonne Business School aims to establish itself, in Paris and internationally, as a key player that opens up the field of possibilities for everyone.
